had 2 more mither letters from debt collectors, after a quick google the advice is to ignore them, so I am doing

There is nothing they can do to affect my credit rating, the worst thing they can do is send another letter

So let me get this , you go to your local supermarket to shop and spend money, then they penalise you for being there too long and give you a parking ticket. WTF. Why don,t the shopping public get together and do an Embargo and refuse to shop at these supermarkets until they do away with the unfriendly and greedy practice. This sort of behaviour would not be tolerated over here.

The problem, as I understand it, is that businesses (like supermarkets) are having their car parks used as "free all day parking" by unfortunates who can't find anywhere else to park just to go to work (or finding it outrageously expensive) .
Personally, I don't see what the problem is with this. I used to park my motor in Asda's car park and get the bike out the back because all the car parking near my work has been built on. The parking ticket system put an end to this.
Our problem in this country is that its just too damn small for the number of cars on the road and we don't have cheap, efficient public transport. This is exasperated by the huge influx of people over the last 20 years - most of which buy cars within months of arriving here.
                      I don't have an answer I'm afraid.
                      Chris
                      Cheers

I get it, so the answer is that your parking is validated inside the store where you are shopping at the check out. That way you have proof you where shopping and your validation also has the time you finished .

                              Guys

THIS IS A SCAM, A RIPOFF.

It has no standing in law, the usual is two threatening letters from the parking company then two or three from 'solicitors' and/or debt collectors. These people do not do court.

Do NOT reply, have a look at the parking forum on http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?act=idx and search for PPC ticket or Sainsbury. My bet is the parking company is Euro Car Parks, letters will be from them, Brinx and Control Account. After that it will all go away.
