            Got the gearbox out and there is also a crack in the bellhousing which needs welding

            Anyone want a cheap broadstripe spares or repair ?

                    Is it an Alu' bell housing as we can weld it up for you if that helps mate.

                      Yes it is an Aluminium one Jon, but has now been welded thanks anyway

                          He came to finish the bits and bobs off this morning, topped the new gearbox up with oil and guess what....another hairline crack in the new box, oil leaking everywhere

                          Cheers for your efforts Dale.....could not believe it

                          Anyway, will have to drive it until the oil level settles and stops leaking and see where we go from there

                              Went for a drive today and broke down 1/2 mile from my house....just cut out on me Had to push it home

                              Looks like the problem I had at the Lakes is back again

                              The garage door is firmly shut now at least for this year, if not next as well
