Thought I would ask, have started stripping my TR7 for a body resto and a V8 conversion, hope to do it to the same standard as my RS's (rough as old nails ), anyhoo, have been taking pics so far, haven't started a thread cos this is an Escort site after all but if some were interested ,and mods/Dave allowed it, I would post the occasional piece in the resto section. Maybe summat different ... or wait till I start project Pop +

Hi Paul,
I done one of these in 1996 and it was a bit or work to say the least and cost a fortune.

A contact I built up was Simon @ robsport international very helpful and a little cheaper than Rimmer bros. All Truimph / rover items so its the same stuff. Here's a link to them and best of luck with it. p/m some pics if your not going to run a thread.

I facied fitting a Rover V8 engine in a TR7 in the early 80's with view to rallying it, but I never progressed with the idea.

I would like to see your resto.

I must admit, I enjoy watching your resto's Paul.
I've had a few Triumphs in the past, but I'm OK now.
Restored a Herald Vitesse, Spitfire, Dolly Sprint & also had a Stag, Dolomite & a few more Heralds.

I like my V8's too...

Get a thread started....

Should be cool, Restored 2 TR8 convertibles back in the late 80s early 90s, used both S&S and Rimmer bros. for most of the parts needed for mine
