  • Valuation for my Harrier.....

Can anyone on here officially value my Harrier for insurance purposes....

I've just had a knock back from Footman James disputing my 8k valuation, even though the pictures and restoration description show the car well. Pi##ed off, the car's been isured with them over a month now and I've been a custome of theirs for 15 years with various cars.

6 owners, retrimmed, every nut and bolt is new (or re-passivated), rebuilt xflow and box - could go on and on and on, so I'll stop there!

Can see the car under 'silver Harrier' thread in resto section, but here's a couple more....... at the MOT and bodyshop after striping up.

      Your car looks a beauty.

Do what taffr suggests and ring these people, they are very good. I have just gone with them after finishing with AON now Footman James........my car was well under insured with them.

        Hi Mate,

Although new to being a Classic Ford owner, I must say Hagerty Insurance are superb. Great customer service. They take in an interest in your motor. They've just given us an agreed valuation on the Sport within two days of emailing the Pics.

AON wre pretty good but looks like Fotman James will be shooting themselves in the foot.

                    Hagarty's it is

I'll give them a go in the morning - just dissapointed that after just over 4 weeks they've come out with this dispute, so I'll not get my premium back - which was close to £500 odd - but there is a Golf Mk2 16v on that too.. Strangely the Golf isn't disputed.

Cheers for the comments guys, feeling better after fitting the nos spots I bought off Kev Curtis at AVO day - just wish I'd been able to take the car!

That is a beautiful car, probably one of the nicest MK2's I have seen in a while, got a real soft spot for Harriers at the moment. I would sell a kidney to have that and I only have one and it started off as someone elses .....
