escort wise, ive got what i always wanted in the garage with the X, but, if i had the choice of a couple of others, they would be in order

1. a certain scottish orange mk1 rs2k with thin pin stripes

2. a certain 'salmon pink' W reg rs2k

ooh, and id like to get back and return my first Harrier to its original colour

There were 2 cars used in the Movie, the car that did most of the stunt work was sent to the crusher by Warner Bros. scared that someone would put it back on the road , have an accident then sue Warner Bros. The spare car which was caged and complete with camera mounts was bought by one of the crew shooting the movie.
The car sits lamenting in a barn somewhere like Kentucky, He will not sell the car , even Steve McQeen tried to buy the car at one time without success. The owner will not even roll the car out for publicity shots or functions, it just sits in the barn.
This is kinda like the mk1 Escort RS1600 rusting away in a field in Ireland, maybe our Irish boys on here know more about that car.

its great to know these cars still exist.....as for the rs1600 id love to know what happened to it now as that pic was a few years old...im sure its still sitting there but completely fubar....

These are cars that were on my hit list of cars to own, I have owned several AVO mk1 escorts Mexicos and 1 RS1600, Porsches 911 and 944 , 3 Triumph TR8s 2 of them california convertibles and 1 ex Rally car several Capris 2.0s 3.0s and 3 injections Triumph TR6S 4 OF them half a dozen 1979 Beetle convertibles Jaguar xjs and a 67 3.8 S type , Mini 1275S
