Will i ever find a good mk2 escort!!!!!

Hi all so far i have neally travelled the country to find a good mk2 escort train after train+long car jorneys.
All the cars i have veiwed are described as mint but when you look at them they should have been listed as a projects.
so far spent over £700 on train tickets and fuel can anyone help please,am after a good 2 door 1.6 to 2.0 ltr

Thanks for your help looked at a mk1 today 4 hr jorney and it should have been scrapped more holes than a colinder well pi--ed off descibed again as mint and i wont find a better one, again thanks Mark

I live on the out skirts of Chester i dont mind traveling if i can find A GOOD one, i tried them lads on piston heads but no joy travelled there yesterday 7 hrs round trip both rally spec and needed welding nice lads mad me an egg buttie tho
