    There is one easy way to foil this plan, and that is for everyone in the UK to hang onto the car you have now that is probably already paid for and invest time and money keeping that vehicle maintained and roadworthy , and not getting legged up into debt buying a new ( Korean built ) car. There has always been too much emphasis on driving the new registration prefix on the number plate, as if you are a second class citizen for having an older Reg. number.

          How can that be envormentally friendly when its still got boots on , screen rubber hanging out of it and proberly full trim.What happens to all of that when it goes back in the pot?

            Might of been loverly but it wernt worth owt, i had a 635 in black last year, with black leather int and all the toys, sold it for £450 with 7 months MOT and a months tax, listed it on all the BMW sites ect, got the usuall "i'd have it if i had the cash, if it was closer" bla bla bla.
            It ended up on ebay, a breaker bought it to strip
