  • Rolling road today

i had my car on the rolling road to day at aldon automotive in brierlyhill west mids,a mate cancelled his session so i had it ,big number's people here we go i have 185bhp at the wheels from my 1600 standard crossflow on twin 40's ,take into the tranmission losses and other losses & i have 80bhp thats twenty more than i was expecting, seriously i went to get it set up as it didn't idle,it was spitting back through the carb,& poping & banging on over run (which actualy sounded quite good)it was more of a get it set up so it runs, more than power(just had enough to turn the rollers) the guy tried to get the print out for me bu the printer kept jamming,so alan the owner said if i wanted to bring it back they would do a power run when the printer is fixed,im not that bothered,so bring on curborough sprint day
    hare are a few pics

my car looks a funny colour in that light
this car was also there a customer'e it lookes nice

Too right Paul it's all about the set up first and foremost . You wouldn't play a £5,000 guitar out of tune so why people do it with cars is a mystery . Some engines run like a sack of shite cos their owners won't spend £100 on a tune up , WTF is wrong with them

Me from the age of 17 to about 25 !!!!!! . I used to think that spending money at a rolling road was a rip off so i used to splutter , pop and backfire everywhere instead

got my engine run in and down to the rollers last week, went in running not so good, came out like a new car, starts well, stopped running on, response on the engine is better, pulls like a frieght train now, money well spent i'd say, and i'm running a 38 dgas, so you boys on twin webbers best get down there cos you've got two carbs to sort out, but they won't charge you any more for that
