  • MK1 or MK2 Escort burning on M1

Just seen this on the RSOC site, must of been going to Classic Ford today, hope not to much damage has been caused

For those who don't go on the RSOC here is what it says

"My brother has just seen a yellow mk1 or mk2 Escort burning on the M1 southbound just after Rugby about 9.15am. There was a red Escort Cosworth sat in front of it. Its was a mint motor as well by the sound of it. Hope your OK and sorry to hear of one going like that"

I was heading south at about half ten when i saw it on a recovery truck heading north. I could see it had been on fire but didn't look as if it was scrap, looked as if it could be saved. Crying shame though must be gut wrenching just watching it happen.
