    Hi all,

Always saw pp as a quick form of payment.
However, I sold something on the bay last month, buyer paid, I posted the lot, but it came back saying "not at home".
Now the buyer has made a claim through pp that he didn't receive his bits and my money is heald back by pp.
So, can you lot make online banktransfers to other countries? (using IBAN and BIC codes).

    Leon.

      Mark,

Those companies you mentioned can be expensive. Stay away from Western Union especially as they are outageous.

I tried the Halifax Bank and they were £25 at the time to send just over a hundred pounds

The best I could find at the time was with the Post Office. It depends on how much you want to send and how quickly you want the other party to get it. The amount I wanted to send to France was just over £100 where I had to exchange sterling to Euros and send it special delivery which was insured. It was clearly slower than instant Bank transfer, but a lot lot cheaper than all the others. They also do Moneygram for larger amounts. Well worthy of enquiries at your local branch.

Paypal are actually quite reasonable on this. If you have the postage documentation or tracking/trace numebr and fax it into them they will usually agree with the sellers terms for cases of non delivery.
In this case though the buyer obviously didn't get his goods so he would be due a refund. Can you not just issuse a refund through Paypal and that way you get your Paypal fees back as well?

As said just fax paypal the postage recipt and they basicly tell the buyer "toiugh" once it's in the postal system and you've proved it they don't wanna know it's then down to the buyer to sort a claim if lost ect,
follow thier rules and they are fine, been through this umpteen time and allways got it sorted

BACS is free. Unfortunately only UK linked banks though. SWIFT will cost you £25 - E40 depending on your bank. (They have to get back the billions they lost).

                F**king unbelievable

So I did send the parcel to the UK, came back 2 weeks later with TNT stickers saying "Reason: not at home" on it.
Buyer claims his money back at PayPal, I upload the proof of postage and a photo of the parcel (clearly stating not at home) but PayPal in all it's f**ling wisdom has decided to give the buyer his money back!!!!
                Idiots.

No charge on this side of the pond for international money transfer over 3 days, But 25 Euros charge I think for same day transfer. I have used this service several times using online banking, it is a very handy service.
No buyer protection not like paypal.
                  Take care Leon.
