NUB went bang

If it went bang, it's usually the planet gears breaking up in the centre of the diff.

If it is the easiest way to fix it is replace the diff as a complete unit.

well the axle is off and it aint the half shafts its the diff pinion gears both of them so new diff time

Andy you'll probably find one had self detructed some time back, so the second was doing all the work with the inevitable failure.
There will be plenty of bits in the bottom of the axle casing to get out too.

i think you shud change the reg from nub to tub
