just listening to this album now & forgot how ****ing great it is...not a bit dated at all....what an album & looking forward to seeing the lads again live this year in august with thin lizzy and a few others ....were the hell is the good weather though

Got to agree there !
but the black album is a great intro in thier work, probably the reason it did so well in the charts in comparison to the earlyer stuff, master of puppets makes the hairs on my neck stand up really hits a memeory or 2

Yea it's just too mainstream for me, apart from The Unforgiven. I'd just about prefer Load & Reload for some reason.

the best thing about a band like metallica is they can vary thier music n become more popular...every album over the last 20 yrs is very different music wise IMO....they still get my vote every time be it even if some say "they sold out" bull
