Fuel cost for the Lakes

Well sitting here at work I thought I would work out how much to get to the Lakes
Door to door is 256.21 miles so worked out a round figure of 260 miles
Going on previous years of 21mpg I will need 12 gallons or 54 litres
£0.96 ppl means one way will cost around £53 or £106 round trip plus what I use on the tour.
So looking at putting around £150 in the tank this weekend, but its worth it

last year did it up there on a tank (69 ltr) - 15.1 galls ((45's, head etc)) 2/3rds on tour, then a tank back - was over £170, but remember the price was at least 10p per litre dearer last year

So its a bargain this year as fuel is cheaper so we all save money

500miles each way for us sheepshaggers plus the tour itself,prob 1100oddmiles all up 4 us,ferry didnt sail this morning so we are delayed already!hopefully get sailing this afa,few tanks of gas will be consumed this weekend by the escort

I did my house to heaves and a full tour on £30 full tank

then a splash and dash £15 to get me home
