I remember that....I do think that there are some roadworks at the moment though on the M6 from Spag...northwards...does anyone know about those...

On the M6 northbound between junctions J8 and J11, minor delays are possible due to roadworks . Expect disruption until 6:00 am on 4 May 2011.

I Have been on the M6 Loads of times when the matrix lights are flashing "congestion use m6 toll" and the old m6 has been flowing with no problems, (easy way to get more cash off the motorist)
at the time you are going though Birmingham i dont think you will need to use the toll road

I got taken on the toll road with a trailer... cost £8

no need most of the time, use the old m6

4- have enough fuel for the next leg (try and fill up when we arrive at services if poss)
5- take pics
6- have fun
7- take the **** out of the trailer boys (a must do)
8- behave on the road

old M6 vote for me purely in principle, I have only ever used the toll during another lakes convoy, I would rather sit in traffic if it comes to it (not that I think it would at that time) then pay money to drive on a road when I have already paid my road tax on various cars that the goverment then see fit to hand out to steve scumbag and charlie chav so they can get there required daily intake of white lightning and stella
