Gentleman i need some advise, things are very tight at the mo (like most people i would imagine) i already decided that the mk1 wont be on the road this year
And to be honest i could really do with some of the money that is in it, to get some things done around the house, the misses is ok about it but dosernt stop me feeling guilty about it
So i have a few ideas, sell it and get what i want done and buy something cheaper - wont be a mk1, possibly another 16i (which is a big favourite of mine) or keep it in the garage for a year or so and not be able to spend any money on it or the house and possible see its value go down
    Any contstructive ideas welcomed

Vinny i sold my 2000 last year never had to sell it but was looking for another mk2 i ended up buying a mk3 RS Turbo for less than half the price & i love it we also got a few jobs done around the house with the rest of the money so i still have a toy in the garage & the house the way we want it so that keeps her kind of quiet for now so i know where your at ..its not the end of the world if you sell but a nice 16i would certainly make up for it it is a very hard decision vin only you can decide when your cars away its away & if you spend the money like i did owning another may only be a dream like me good luck matey

now vincent, you had a good 16i,
youve now got a original nice MK1...very hard to find as you know and this could be traded for a mex, as this seems to be the car you really want
          i would say keep it
          your heart is with MK1s

If you can manage to keep the car and thats were your heart is then dont settle for 2nd best " needs must " as they say but theres always away round things.

When all said and done, Its only a car, if I was in the position of needing some cash the rs, bike, quad and guns would all go, tough choices to make m8, but thats my view on material objects, good luck hope you find a resolution to your dilema

A lot of people are feeling the strain. Try and keep your motor, you may regret it later. Try and put off any jobs on the house if possible as hobbies are important.

You will need something to do if you get made redundant. And I do not mean that in a nasty way, it is becoming more prevelant. Brother-n-law was hit last night.

Think the fags have to go - health and money wise.
May give me time to carry out a few jobs on the rs2 that wont cost a lot and see what next year brings
