we.ve had this system in Nortern Ireland for years from I started driving in 1984 and we've always had the photocard and paper parts. the paper for the points, endorsements, etc so no insurance company cant get the truth nowadays. used to be like a little blue book thing.

The dvla over here issue a notice 28 days before the expiry of the licence to remind you that is due to renew, After one year if its not renewed, its cancelled and assumed its no longer required. Hence can be a handfull if you miss the renewal or move and not tell them The sister -in -law's was out of date for 13 months and had to make an appearence in person to fight to get it renewed as they sent her a provisional licence. apparently they have this right to do so.

So be carefull you dont forget, especially if you have other categories now as well. they are lost too.

        Licences

Cant be his wife, she signed C .Sample.
Its a copy of the licence the DVLA sent out to show drivers what the Photocard Licence would look like.
I have,a red book,a green oblong one,a green Square one,and a photocard one as now at my age I have to have a medical every year to keep my C+E (Artic ) licence so I get a new photocard one every year.FREE,although they say you must renew your photo every 10 years so then they charge CAN charge you !
