  • Been offered an 3.0 1978 Capri

Not sure on this yet and I haven't seen the car only pics, its a 1978 3000cc Capri but it has had one of those Aston Martin Vantage body Kits fitted, car was then re-registered in 1998 and thats what is listed as date of 1st Reg. Sounds as if company built.
Did an online DVLA check and has tax until 09/2009, I can have it for around £800.

What is the view on these body kits and if its in good nick is that a fair price?
    Cheers
    Kieran

Is it a MK 2 or 3 as the MK2 is as ugly as sin. Mk3 is ok and good fun but not as much as a MK1.Bit heavy on the fuel though and you won't need first gear as the engines torquey if in good condition.

You mean it looks like this.....
At that sort of price I'd have it just for the RWD fun factor.
You could always get other road users to help you remove the body kit with their cars..

Being sensible though, I don't think a 3 litre Mk2 Capri with tax & mot is dear at £800.
The body kit devalues it if you ask me.

i have no idea what bodykit you are talking about but 800 quid for any 3.0 capri with tax and ticket is a sound deal fella

Well I run it past the boss when she came home from work and as see hates Capri's it would be a case of the car or her...........the car wins.

I will keep looking for another motor as a run around
