hi all
ive just tried to renew my insurance policy with footman james for my mk2 rs2,the quote was £228 which i thought was ok,i have a limited milage policy of 3k p/year and had a agreed value of 10k..this year they have requested a valuation on it,which i have supplied courtesy of mgc motors in sussex, but the value they stated was 13k...i sent it back and now footman james are stating that they will not insure the vehicle unless i cancel the agreed value part of the contract !!!
i carnt afford to do this or take that risk just incase something terrible happens to my rs and i dont get what its worth....
im on the verge of cancelling the policy now,so can anyone advise me of a good/reliable insurance company who knows our market..
footman james wrote to me and stated they wanted a valuation on my vehicle in its current state, not to restore it (cheeky c***s)..
they obviously dont know the market and cost of restoring a rs2000,if thats what they thinks it costs anyway !! so what chance would i have of getting a realistic price if the car went missing !!! thats what worries me..
any advice will be gratefully apprieciated..
cheers;kev
