  • with mild interest......

.......... i spent hours tinkering on the car today

oil changed, sump bolts nipped, re-application of underseal, boot light replaced and wired up so now it works , replacement parcel shelf painted with vinyl paint and fitted up ( rear seat out etc )

all in all i had a pretty cool afternoon, i've not enjoyed pottering for a very long time

    damn speaker holes still there

no wonder these things rusted so badly with stuff like that secreted in channels

c-pillar trims virtually disintergrated on contact, and bungs needed for small holes in shelf, but much better than was previous

Another place is the sound-proofing on the outer door skin, where it peels away at the top a bit, then holds the dirt that gets washed down the inside of the door, retains the damp and then rusts through to get out.
