Was there a few months ago. Does not realy mater what part you stay in as the Metro (underground) gets you into the centre in ten minuites.
Lovely place though and remember to take your best cloths as they dress well. lol

stay away from cafe`s anywhere near champs ellyses etc etc.27 euros for 2 ***es and a tea.CHECK PRICES FIRST.also watch out for street con artists.loads of em tried to hand me a gold ring pretending they found it on the floor and it was mine.i dunno what it was about but was obviously some sort of scam..other than that i enjoyed it!

His mate picks your pocket while you're pre-occupied with the ring/cigarette ash/€50 note etc. !!! Don't you get out much?

Montmartre has surprisingly cheap hotels. Renowned as the red light area, that's all a bit exaggerated. Quite nice streets for daytime strolling.

If you're gonna be ordering pints of beer, then you might as well wear a knotted handkerchief on your head, a union flag T-shirt, and expect Parisien waiters to treat you like a god!
