Well done Derek ,been thinking the same myself lately then i think back on all the people i know that started projects and never finished them

my car may not be to everyone elses standard or taste but i will be able to look and say i done it ,or maybe say i bought it if its really bad

Hi Derek you HAVE made the right choice to keep it especially after all that effort you have put in.
I also own a Signal red RS2000 and last year found the inner wings and bulkhead and sill were starting to show signs of rotting so took it in for repair was totaly gutted when told other bits were wrong floorpans were on top of old ones etc crap welding jobs done on it, was thinking about selling then but didnt (would have got another though) anyway six months later and its starting to take shape again floors done bulkhead sorted shell will be mint will try to get her up and running for the Lakes 2010 as Martin (smoov)wants to get all the signal redders together .

Keep at it derek would love to see the car once you have done it and all the good comments you will get at the shows makes it worthwhile and you have one of the best colours for the RS2

Yep, looking forward to seeing both these cars in the future, and I'm sure they will be worth all the effort.

a sneak preview: the finished item

went to put up the whole photos of the restoration but the house computer crashed. got it sorted out but the photos are back in date order so the wife ( bless her) is putting them back into folders and that way I'll have all the rs ones together and then post them up in the restoration thread.

Hi Barry,

not looking likely at this time. Mother in law's 65th birthday on Sunday and her sister and my missus have planned a surprise birthday lunch/ bbq with the whole family gathering thing.

A little friction is going on at the moment as I said months ago I was going to the show but its not going down very well at present. So I want to go, she knows I want to go but as her mum does all our babysitting and helping out, I'm getting the moral high ground argument.


Anyway if not I'll have to come over to some shows across the water!
