What total gits!
A bit ridiculous that they went through so many layers of security to get to it! Glad they couldn't get the car out, but as one of the other guys said, prob best to move it on the assumption that they know the security now...
I would defo get some very modern security on your cars.
And also make sure you have an agreed value insurance policy set a decent level should the worst happen...
But as Steven F says some people will slow down to look at an old car. I know I do.
The difference is that you tend to know the type of person that is looking at your pride and joy as they drive by (ie. older person who is admiring a classic car or scally who thinks that it will be easy to pinch and sell on )
Glad to hear they didnt get the car i know a lot of damage was done but it would have been soul destroying if the pride and joy was taken..
Was listening to the radio last week and they said in a recession thefts like this will be on the up..There were three beside me last week in one day.. 1 fellow left his jeep in to get valeted and left the keys in the ignition big mistake, the same was done when a lady went into a petrol station...
As said earlier all these cars are being robbed for parts.
think you are all a bit paraniod about this what would you do if you seen an old interesting nice car in a drive or outside of a house you would slow down and have a look
Yes I am probably paranoid now, but after having my RS2000 broken into several times and then finally nicked and never to be seen again maybe you would be as well. Not only do you lose your car, you have to try and get the insurance to compensate you enough, then there is the problem of finding a thirty year old car as good as your old one. It can go on for months and it is all hassle!
Trouble is you can't tell who is who out there and it puts you on your guard, what a sad life we live in!
