  • a bit of good news

........ to the end of an awful week -

as some on here are aware, my brother Stephen, suffered a cardiac seizure in the early hours of tuesday morning - he was "brought back" twice during the trip to Dorchester Hospital and to be honest, they didnt seem too hopeful

that morning he was transfered to Southampton Hospital where he underwent an emergency heart op - after this was placed in an induced coma to keep the risk of brain damage to a minimum due to the time he spent with no oxygen to the brain - he was also "chilled" to help keep his temperature down with his body in trauma

yesterday, he was brought out of this to the relief of all - his wife and two girls 17 and 20, my mum and dad

he is 43 years of age, has a low to medium cholestrol level, no pressure problems, has never smoked and rarely drinks - this is the weird part, although dads side do have a "history" ..... great !!!!

i went to see him today and although not completely out of the woods, the "quacks" are saying he now has good chances of recovery

there were a few smiles and a few tears - we havent seen each other for 4 1/2 years

thanks for the support the guys on here have given - means so much

as kids, Steve was always a bad loser, but this is the one fight, i'm glad he's won

    thanks Graeme
