retails at £13.40 per litre -your oil capacity should be
8.9ltrs so approx £120 for oil alone plus retail prices to
do the job approx 1hr =£100 makes it expensive but the
labour rate varies around the country

i can tel you how to re set the service light,i work for a vw dealer,if you dont put the right oil in it will **** up the engine,pm me the reg & full vin number & i will tell what oil goes in either long life 2 or long life 3 dont just put cheap shit in,they also take alot of oil approx 6 litres ish,& you will need a litre top up as they do like a drink of oil,to wash down the tyres every 12k if your fairly local i could get you the oil & filter on staff discount might save you a few pennies & give custom a tenner to change it im not far from custom

suppose to be 20k service intervals,but it will burn it before it will need next service,i would use l/life oil & re-set service light to time & distance 12months or 12k,

I wouldnt put cheap crap in it but I think the manufacturers do go a bit ott with all this £20 a litre stuff, its not as if its a ferrari or gets driven hard.

i know when testing the oil seals for the veyron, VW shipped in a special oil only to be used on the veyron, ive said it before on here, but the fumes it gave out was unreal, the unit had to be shut down as locals thought there was a gas leak,
