    anddon,
a mate of mine is a trader, has traders ins.
he r ecently lost a few cars in the floods we had up here, and the ins
only pay out trade value on the cars, which is usually low.
dont know how this would work on a classic even if you had a
    club valuation?
    😯

cheers, for the info guys, i am thinking its probably best to get the Rs's insured separately, for peace of mind.

I got a few quotes last year for trade insurance which I didn't act upon.

In some of them there was the option of agreeing values for some cars.

I think there is the option of tailoring policies to your needs. I may eventually set up some form of trade but would have to get the reassurance of an agreed value.

Aon is a classic policy so you need another car on full normal everyday insurance

Ther eare a few who would do classic policies on limited mileage for 19 year olds, some more come in at 21 but most are indeed 25.

Though I am not happy about it I will qualify for the higher age bracket. And it is a second car.

can't understand it just phoned Aon, without even going into the details (age etc.) he said they would not be able to get close to the £144 quoted by Dominion, he reckon it was coming out at £222. i asked if it got be got lower he said no.
                      I weren't impressed at that boys, i was expecting a deal !!

i just called AON, as my policy with adrian flux is due for renewal on 21/feb, and they quoted me £133, for a car valued at £5K, unlimited mileage, £100 excess and they made no charge to have my missus added to the policy, so i went back to adrian flux, told them of the quote i had recieved, and they brought theirs down from £218 to £132!! but the limited mileage still stood, and their excess' are a little higher.... is the quality of service compromised by AON, because they are so cheap, or are they still top people to deal with?? cos i think im gonna take my new policy out with them??
it just goes to show its worth shopping around, and playing a few company's off each other....money grabbing gits!

Gave Aon another ring and it seems that the guy put me off track first time. The policy has actually cost me £119 now, with limited mileage (3000), agreed value and so on...Bargain i reckon

Quoted me £166 for 5000 miles and fair play to Dominion they were £194 for 4500miles with b/down cover.

                            i am happy, anyway
