I thought it was tradition that we (Big Dave, Rick, Dermot, Ken, Steve and I) start at the back

                That could happen again Andy

It looks like (all going well) I'll be 2 nights camping and then will have to leave early on Sunday morning.

Boat is 10am from Dublin Friday morning to Birkenhead. That means I'd have to be at Dublin Port by about 8am, and to avoid horrendous Dublin morning traffic leaving here at maybe 4.15am!!!

Eta @ Heaves Hotel maybe 7.30pm.

Return is 10.30am ex Birkenhead but as there's no day sailing to Dublin I'll have to go via Belfast. I might get home by maybe 11.30pm Sunday night.

Fair isn't bad at €170, plus cabins, plus extra passenger (if Martin makes it).

Work, responsibilities, nagging ex wife, all suggest no

p.s. 2 nights in a tent is a long stretch for me.

You have all forgotten that old green cortina mk1 well in front to keep the gravel rash from chipping the bonnet

Ferry prices are a bit less for me if I go through Holyhead. It's a bit longer by road, but means I'll get to leave later Sunday morning - maybe 10am instead of 6.30am - and also I'll be in Heaves Hotel a little earlier too. Maybe 3pm as opposed to 7.30pm.

€170 all in. Shorter crossings too on a massive ferry. The world's biggest car ferry in fact.
