  • I'm back, what have I missed?

Been away for the last two weeks and a bit in Canada skiing, celebrating my 40th.
I did manage to pop on every now and then but have I missed anything?

here is a few pics of Banff and Lake Louise.

Top of the world, ski run

empty ski hill, credit crunch to blame me thinks

Had a great time and did a few black runs this year, injured my upper right arm when I shot out of a steep black run which was a mogul field and went tits up, but just drunk more beer to ease the pain

Looks very nice too, dangerous game that skiing lark. A friend had a compound fracture of her leg as her binding didn't release, she was only doing "cross-country" at the time too

Here in Germany, a top politician killed an American tourist when they collided at the bottom of a slope here a few weeks back (Dieter Althaus)

I try to stay away from it myself though

It was warm for the time of year, should of been around -15 but we had temps of around -5 up to +2.
At the top of the mountain it was cold with temps around -16 but still warmer than it should of been.
Coldest I have ever skied in was -38 and that was fecking cold

Ahh remember doing a ton down that hill at Lake Louise happy days.We stopped in a hotel called Inns of Banff, where the streets had armour plated bins to stop the bears getting in to them
