Two Door Mk1 Escort. YVJ 548K 1100L 1972
This car was taken from a lock-up garage in Corby over the w/end of 31st Jan/1st Feb. The car was last seen on Tuesday 3rd Feb at around lunchtime being towed in a four wheel car trailer along Beanfield Avenue in Corby, Northants, by a black Peugeot 406 heading towards the A6003.
It is a bog standard two door, Saphire blue, 1100L with just under 44,000 miles on the clock. There has been some recent welding done to the front passenger footwell and a few other spots underneath. The interior is dark blue vinyl, with dark blue carpets. The car has a rotten exhaust and no brakes due to a nearside rear wheel cylinder failing.
Please post this link everywhere on the internet and advise others to do so.
Update: I just got a call from someone who spotted the car being towed (04/02/09) on the M6 near Jct33 between 11.00am and 12.00pm headed North. The car is on an open trailer with number plates exposed.
