how the hell can jobs be given to overseas workers when there are large amounts of unskilled workers on the dole in this country.
Makes my **** boil and i think if the government dosernt step in and sort it then will have large numbers of the british will come out in behind it with them.
We are not taking about asylum seekers already over hear being offered low paid jobs thus taking jobs from those who have lived hear all their lives but acutally getting people from overseas, if there was a skills shortage in this area then fair enough.
Not a political or rasist rant just someone who is ****ed of with the way we are being treated in this country.
You try and do this to any other work force in europe and there would be a riot, the italians never give overseas contracts thus protecting there own jobs and if we were french we would be burning sheep and blocking ports by now - maybe its time we stood up and told these idiots and burecrats who run this counrty to **** off

Don't entirely agree but know where you are coming from!

We also do the reverse, I would even go as far to say that there are members on here who work in other countries for British companies that have won contracts overseas and use British staff to carry out the work!

The Government have activly encouraged this practice. They made all tenders for government work over a set price (that includes all local authority work) subject to European Procurement. This means that any euro company or two bit eastern euro sparky outfit (example) can tender for all works available. They have sqeezed out small local business and don't support small business. They won't be happy untill we all work for large corporations so they can control everyone.
I wondered when the protests would start and there is surely going to be a lot more.

Tell me about it - I can't believe the hoops you have to jump through now to award a government contract so as to be seen to be fair. We were looking at 220+ days procurement for a contract that would be take 3 months to do start to finish Luckily we found a way "round" it (totally legit) but it is just nonsense.

In this country we're now so scared of even midly offending anyone we daren't make any decisions without passing it through every country in Europe - just bollox

Yep, they put us through so much tripe recently, I wonder why we bother. Yet they like to feather their own caps and hide the stuff they don't want you to see...expenses errrr.....payments for lobby errrr.....best pension sceme ever errrr....
I'm not politically driven or supportive of any party. I just hate politicians and the majority of people working in all government. Maybe we should vote in someone from this forum, i'm sure they could do a better job!!
