personally love the place - loads of great times up there on rac rallies, the Tours and holidays etc -
found this website a few years back - guy obviously likes his walking and photography and takes some great shots of the mountains -
sent him an email recently about his recent picture diaries and mentioned the lakes tour we've done and will be doing again this year -
here was his reply .....
Hi Graeme,
Thanks for the e-mail, it was a great day out and certainly one to remember. I used to have a mark 2 escort (didn't everyone?). Mine was a 1600 sport with twin 45's, stage 2 head, WC X member, hella's the lot!! Ooo it's all coming flooding back. Back in those days of my youth we all had rally prep'd Mk2's and were big fans of Mikkola, Roger Clarke and the boys. Hope you are all coming for a drive through Bowness (bound to?) and when you do call in and see us if you get a chance, it would be great to meet.
Best Regards,
Sean
