I chased one round combe a few years ago in my MK1 RS2000 and couldn't overtake it, well p****d off,then I saw the bonnet open on it in the paddock.It had a Vauxhall red top in it!

That car was for sale back in Aug/Sep time last year.
If I'm right, it hasn't got the classic curvy back end to it. It's got the later post '64 sprite (same as midget), arse.
Here's a nice trio.
Quite right - the one linked to isn't a Frogeye - it is similar to a kit produced by Hall's garage using a fibreglass front, rear hinged (a proper Sprite is a front hinged bonnet).
Some were altered like this in period.
The proper Frogeye was produced from 58 to 61 so this is way too late a car as well.
