heres the latest engine off of the dyno. its a 2.3 pinto with our new slipper pistons with the 22mm gudgeon pin size.steel long rods purpose made for this engine, steel 84mm crank ,titan dry sump system. stg 3 head, ht1 cam, 48dco/sp carbs. bosch electronic dizzy. tested on Race Engine Calibration dyno. 206 bhp @7250 , 177 ft/lbs @5600.

its the true power figure.not a glossed over one. a 2.3 will not give a lot more power just more torque. its only on a lowish comp ratio. i always build them to last. can give more power if i up the comp ratio. also would give more if had 38mm chokes. was built to run 105 octane fuel so will give even more on that. approx 212bhp and 180 ft/lbs and will last 2 seasons till next rebuild.would be more but on long rods so loses a bit of torque as less mass spinning , but revs a lot cleaner then a normal 2.3. wait for the 2.2 all alloy pinto that i have up next.sigpic escorts are blood ,sweat ,tears and welding burns.
