  • Revoknuckle How Good will it Be?

Hi folks how good will this new set up in the 2009 RS Focus be. It will be a hard task putting 300bhp through the front wheels.I wonder will you be able to to floor it and get the power down or will there be onboard computers ( like traction control holding the car back as well). Also its bound to be a car that will eat front tyres.

I suspect that the RevoKunckle may be a small step forward, but you can't overcome the laws of physics, so when trying to apply all the horses the front wheels, either the engine output is limited until the tyres can handle it or some other black box does the business. The RevoKnucle thingy is only there "to reduce torque steer" anyway.
It's just a cop out, instead of making it 4wd, that's the only way you're going to get as much of the power down as possible, i.e. by having the most surface area of rubber available, not some slight improvement on the "old" McPherson strut stub axle arrangement
