Has anyone ever done this to their rear lights? I found this on some lights I removed from a previous RS2000 some years ago. Just thought I would share it with you. The reflector has been covered in silver foil and a 55w bulb soldered into the 21w fitting. The back of the reflector has also had the silver foil treatment. Don't think it was very effective because I didn't notice an improvement when reversing. Also the heat from the bulb has helped to turn the seal into a crisp. The car had some road rally history so maybe it was a demon mod for reversing after missing a slot?
Just another thought are all the new lamps available on the internet cheap and nasty? I have replaced my perished seals with ones bought from East Kent Trim and they are not bad.
