2.3 V6 Mk1 ?

I was reading an artical on an ex work capri FOO654H and in the artical it mentions an Ex Roger Clark escort he used on the Coupe des Alpes as a group 6 prototype ? running a 2.3 V6 cologne tried a search but it came back with nowt, anyone have any more info on it?

i have some old articals to scan and post up over the next few days (first one in a few mins) including the green 4X4 cossie Mk1 if no-one minds me posting em

I can remember reading about this car a few years ago. I think it was only used for one event, so it may have been a re-engined T/C? May have been 1968 so it could have been one of the AVX series of reg numbers. Have you tried "The Works Escorts" book for any info?

i've just got a load of old performance ford and ford heritage mags in and i'm scanning the different articals for differant forums ect and it caught my eye
Sounded interesting, i know the engine ended up in a Mk1 capri (FOO654H) cos it was in an artical on that particular car that it was mentioned in, ran injection and apparently pushed out 150 BHP which aint bad for the 2.3 V6, usually they are crap

yes your are right, page 40/43 in the works escort book, AVX and also ETW had the V6 engine
