  • Opinions on X-Pack please!

    Oh wise ones
I am trying to decide whether to go X-Pack or not and was wondering if doing the deed would reduce its value as a genuine RS2000?
If I go ahead, is anyone in a position to advise whether the Fibresports or Smith and Deakin kits are better/different?
What about the pros/cons between fitting a complete nosecone (mine is quite rough) or fitting the separate spoiler/arch pieces to the original 'cone?
    Thanks guys
    Chris
    Cheers

      all your preference

the kit is post production anyway so it makes no real difference imo, unless you were cutting a stunning condition1 car to do it, if the car has had rear arches or needs them this a perfect solution

the kit was made by fibresports originally so theirs should be the best

Thanks for the replies guys. I do realise that the decision is mine at the end of the day but what I was really after was feedback from those who have done the job and whether they had any regrets or problems arising from the conversion.
Has anyone had retrospective thoughts about it devaluing the vehicle?
My RS is in a bad way and tbh, fitting an X-Pack will make life easier when it comes to the rear arches etc - but I don't want this to influence my decison until I have done all I can to find out the pro and cons. When the chisel hits that rear panel - there's no going back!
Pms sent to the above x-pack boys.
            Thanks again

Are avoiding fixing rear arches worth all the effort of fitting an x pack? You have a nice early model here, it would be nice to restore it as standard, as the early ones are so rare, but it is what you would like that counts, but don't chop it for the wrong reason.

                        Tim.

If I do go down the X-pack route - this is my inspiration.
Love the simplicity. Love the colour (same as my mate's Aston Vantage). Love the tints.
Not sure 'bout the wheels though.
Anyone know who owns this one?

The door mirrors tell me that this is an Aussie RS looks look even better on some 7.5 four spoke RS wheels
