finnaly after a lot of hassle the old girl is coming home where she belongs .

restored this car to national concours condition about 18 years ago and she has never turned a wheel under her own power since gen 57k on the clock all matching numbers through out.

all the running gear is totaly original as are all the opening panels , still a superb car now.

hopefully will be out to play for next summer.

dvla checks out it was last taxed in 82

it was put away all those years as know one ever had the heart to drive the car , then the clutched seized on, the gearbox was dropped out of it about 17 years ago and she has been a static toy ever since .

you dont see to many modena green mexicos this was a custom pack car with console clock radio german scheel seats , but just steel wheels , with the original vinyl roof looks more like a 1300e from a distance than a mexico.

originaly sold new at ubm ford winchester.

i will be picking the car up in the next 2 weeks , when i will start to recomission it .

as soon as i get her back and give her a good clean i will post some more pics up .

                          yep tim
the twin cam is going to a new owner , and i am sure it will look great when done , although i am sure i will be totaly gutted when i see it finished but thats life.

the modena mex is just a superb car has to be one of the best unmolested type 49 shells out there , nearly all the parts that are on the car are original from factory , just nos lights badges bumpers etc.

just dont know wether to keep the vinyl roof and triple pinstripes as thats how it came from factory or paint the roof and go mexico decals .

perhaps some of you guys can give me your thoughts on that.

Keep it to original spec, makes it stand out from the crowd. Although the colour would do that.
