Anyone clued up on PC's???

No, not coppers, I've had plenty dealings with them
My house computer wont connect to internet, says connected, but LAN disabled? Also, DNS Error coming up on antivirus? Anything I can do? I'm relying on laptop with vodafone internet
Aren't they great when they work?

start > control panel > network connections

right click local connecion and enable lan if plugged into ethernet via a modem

should work then

dns error is that you are not connected to the internet
