      i've been on the back of an italian superbike at 159 , but i also know a young man who has done 181 on a gsxr1000 k7, the scoob's goes of the clock too, sorry aled

            had my rs focus on the limiter in fifth gear many times but never looked @ speedo for some reason

              thanks for confirming that alminera,BUT i have been well over a ton towing a Group 4 escort with a V6 tranny barge,(with 6 speed box ) in ,82 down in spain,gained more sense now

                  A pretty unamazing 125 at brunters but it was in a Mk5 cortina so it felt faster(scaryer)

                          156 mph in my 8 series early morning ,Palm Desert according to my speedo, super smooth without drama and felt like more to give but the road conditions really wouldn,t allow.
                          The quickest Was with Willie Rutherford in 86 at Burtonwood airfield , testing one of the first evo 6R4,s at REDP1020752[1] [50%] [50%].jpg

                            180 on the clock in a bentley continental gt,4 up as well the lad who had it got a gtc(convertable) after the hard top and had 190 with the roof down,then 200 with roof up (all clock speed b.t.w)

                                Not as quick as most of you guys - 128 in a Chevette in 1979 or 1980, 134 in a Pug 306 in the 90's and about 125 in a diesel Golf.

                                Oh and about 110 in a Mk1 Mexico downhill and with a following wind about 3 years ago at Donnington.

                                the most entertaining were the Mex and the Chevette, both rally prepared cars, both geared for acceleration rather than sheer top speed.
