    heard on the radio today that the biggest car company (gm) is running out of money,& thay are asking the americam goverment fof a bail out,not looking good

    Reminds me of the B.L years, followed by the Rover group.

      I work near the vauxhall factory on the wirral and its not looking good for the factory there

        I thought GM and Ford have been bailed out loads of times by the American goverment.

        Lets hope it changes soon as the knock on effect does not bear thinking about

                Transit plant in southampton will be closing down, heard maybe as soon as next year. loads of jobs have been cut, not good

                            Exactly what I was thinking!

                            When I was selling them in the 70's, although there was all those strikes and difficulties, and the immense size of these companies, we thought they were always here to stay, and now look where they are!
