Hi, My new engine is now nearing completion but I can't make my mind up wether to paint/anodise all the alloy parts ie rocker cover, engine mountings, thermostat housing and alternator bracket or leave them shinney as photo's below.
I am not into the bufty scene just want it to look nice when it finally goes in. I will say that all the ancillaries are brand new and so are nice and shinney too. So what do I do?
    Some pics below.

There are a couple of places around Cheltenham that do it. No idea how much it cost's. The one firm do a lot of work for the company I work for so might try and get it done on the side.

Don't laugh but i sprayed all my naked alloy bits with 1x £8 can of silver Hammerite . So that's the rad , inlet manifold , thermastat housing , engine mounts , etc etc and they still look good 12 months later . Best of all , no polishing !!!!

Personally, I would keep them in the metal finish. Anything else would look "Bling".

              Tim.

                    OPINIONS NEEDED

Swap your bits for mine. I have proper old skool parts, dull and dented by years of misuse. You can buy NOS, you can buy bling, but you can't buy memories. (Not yet anyway, thank God, Imagine eBay!)

Next question, What colour blue as engine or black or same colour as car?
