1st step, put your intentions in writing (send signed for)...

        cc. bloke in scotland

        Dear Bloke in Ireland,

This letter is to notify you of the failure to refund or deliver the <insert full description engine> I bought off the Internet <site> (date).

If I do not receive the money owed to me in the next seven days I intend to start a claim in the Small Claims Court.

Part of the Small Claims procedure is to notify you in writing of my intentions. I am seeking payment of £how much you paid plus £fuel costs, totaling £total.

        Yours Faithfully

        Mark M

              Mark

You know my thoughts, and some of the comments on here are worth persuing.

I agree with Neil, send him a Recorded Letter stating what you want and what you will do if he doesn't resolve the situation.

If this doesn't work then start the Small Claims Process through the Sheriff (if you are claiming in Scotland) or Court Service (if you are claiming in N. Ireland)

DO NOT Name him on here yet as this may prejudice your case down the line.

I'm only a call away if you want to talk
              Cheers

Good work Brian. Hope this can be resolved as no -one wants to see someone being ripped off, especially for £1500

                    Further clarification !

                    The seller lives in Ireland

The seller just happens to work for a Garage/Main Dealer in Ireland (this garage is not connected to this sale but great work Brian and having people who know seller is a long way towards Marks battle to get his money back)

The RS Specialist/Garage in scotland is the "middle man" in this affair

dave would not easier for you to put a disclaimer at the top of this tread ......or something to the fact about the seller & not the garage as it is not involved.....

hope you get it sorted Mark

what happened to the guy with the capri from the garage in scotland? on another note as his situation was similar in a round about way

C.A.B is a waste of time, over run with people who are in financial trouble. Did you pay cash or credit card?

Personally, I'd pay for some flights for me and a few mates to Ireland.
