remember well going to donington for pre National day meetings and planning, and quite often would get to the infield a day or so before the 'monsters', however i had little or no interest in heavy metal therefore i seldom paid much attention to the events going on there behind colosed doors so to speak, however certainly remember some members of (i think)Metalica having breakfast in the paddock cafe on a thursday morning prior to some sound / Equipement tests.
the paddock / infield was strictly a no go area afew days prior to the monsters, unless you were there for a reason, wish now i had taken more attention of some of the on goings at the time, however National Day was the prime motivation
