yes, we all get carried away.
i budgeted handsomely for my build of the black beauty, and everything was to be new (it is) however got a couple of good deals along the way, and also managed to sell some of the surplus stuff, but as with you all, hard graft got me the cash to do it. pressies for Birthdays, christmases, fathers day etc etc all were for the car
to date in excess of £20k spent, i shudder to really add it all up

they are a labour of love i guess - as GJ says, do the labour, love it later -
i did mine in big chunks - body/kit first, engine second, suspension next, diff, lsd etc and interior last of all - got the car in 2002 and only really finished it how i wanted it last year
and if im honest, i'd like to sort the brakes out next ............... along with the wiring before that GJ harps on
advice, take your time, theres no rush and do it for you and you only

No money left in the banks.......You start off thinking that part is ok and then you see a brand new one so you get it and then it just snow balls, The new part cant go with the old one next to it, so then the hunt is on...by the time i finish the car it will be 90% new parts. How much cant look..... don't tell the wife, other wise i will be living in the car...Andy
