i do have a legally binding purchase contract that states all goods are my property untill paid for in full, but when i went to the coppers a few months ago about someone who had me fit all the windows and then told me to **** off when i asked for payment, the coppers said that if i went and took my windows out they would arrest me . the difference on this job is that its a commercial property and the usuall rules dont apply as its not lived in.
sat down a couple of weeks ago and worked out how much i was owed for jobs i had paid labour and materials for. it was over 20K. really starting to get ****ed off with it now

On our local news, a while back, a guy built a porch on the front of this wifes house, she never paid up the £20K cost, so the guy came round and knocked it down with a sledgehammer, he was doing it when the cameras were rolling, she also came out the house and walked past him he just shook his head

i know the feeling, been done about 4 times this year by non payers, only small ammounts by comparrison but still hard.

heared somware it was classed as fraud to knowinly issue checks that will not clear?

i only take on small/residential work now as every large job i've undertaken i've hade difficultiies with money.

the more they got the tighter they get...

                            That's a real sickner.
The last on I chased it took 3yrs through the courts before payment.
                            Hope you get it sorted.
On a brighter note did the shop have big windows?
                            Good luck.

they have had the work done and inbetween ****ing me about they have sold the business so it is nothing to do with them anymore and new owner is not liable as they will not be trading under the same name
