very sad news today, just heard that Ian kennedy passed away last night, he was only 46,
A very well known man over in Northern Ireland, he showed his RS1800 in concours, did a couple of national day displays for me, a quiet man and well liked by all
    great loss

                Can't believe this news !

                A true gentleman.

I always met Ian at the local NW200 classic display which takes place just a short drive from Ians house. If it was a wet night, Ian would have taken his red mk2 RS2000, but if it was dry, the RS1800 would be there, immaculate. He always had time to talk about his cars or open the bonnet.

His cars were always very, very well presented. He would not know how to over rev an engine. He never 'rallied' about.

I spoke to him at this years NW200 display and, just as they were going on the parade lap, I said to Ian, "for gods sake, take it a bit easier this year and don't be spinning the tyres !" Those standing around laughed, they knew the score, while Ian just smiled and grinned. " I'll try not to " he said.

                RIP

                Martin.
