  • should i change my car for summink more hardcore?

not that i am at all unhappy with my car, but a big chunk of me wants a boy'd up flat front, with arches, a cage, lots of stickers, twin carbs and lots of go! but should i give what i've got up for one? or stick with the stock car which is in quite good nick ( at the moment, we'll have to see what it will be like in the spring ) your thoughts please......

I supose in an ideal world you would feep the stock 2000 and get the sickered up big arched mad engined flat front as well , if you can afford it do that , if not i would keep the stock 2000

See your car years ago, it was in top nick, it's worth (if you want to sell) more in standard condition...... but then you have sold those cn36s and you were adding wheels, carbs etc.

              Cheers Dave.

nah nah, i wouldnt muck my car up, i'm on about selling it, and buying something all laired up! but that would incourage me to drive (more) like an arse, and then i'd attract unwanted attention from the fuzz. i wouldnt bugger the one ive got up....no way, but i cant afford to have both...... i think i should stick with what ive got.........maybe........
and dave, she now sports a nice set of 7" superlites, and has the k+n filter, although the old wheels are in my sig picture

I say keep the standard one.

I am trying to have my cake and eat it by having one of each :

                      Standard concours car (Nordic Blue)

Road going Gp1 spec car (Diamond White)

Lairy "balls out" Flat front Gp4 rally rep/track car (Venetian Red)

What with the other Mk2's as well, I've spread myself too thinly
                      Cheers Rob.

No point in keeping it as it is if you are not happy with it. I would keep the body and interior as it is but stick a zetec with throttle bodies in, uprate the brakes and suspension. That gives you the best of both worlds. And its easy changed back if you keep the original engine etc.
Or else sell it as it is, and buy a flat front and build it to the spec you want.

i dont have time to build one, and you cant always trust stuff you buy done, where as i know mine is all good, but i still want rally rep.

Flat fronts certainly are very appealing to the eye
