old ones re passivated as long as they are not all chewed up and knackered

imo i like to use the original nuts and bolts, some may be in a bad way due to age and do not turn out very well when passivated.
stress bolts are something to watch out for, using old corroded ones is not a good idea

whats your intentions with the car martin, concours, road car....

        hi dave

exactly condition one plus road car , i thought it would be best to go down the original route as a lot of the nuts and bolts after soaking them in a bit of sarsons have come up extremely well

take a sample of the colour gold to the platers as well, so they know what you want, fussy i know but you wouldnt believe what they can do

                        Nuts and bolts

I had a number acid dipped then coated. You'd be suprised how many new genuine Ford fasteners you can find if you look hard enough.
