You may like to check with your ISP if you have a web site, too. I found out by chance that in Germany it is the law that the Name and Address of the publisher has to appear on any book. This applies to Internet pages too!

Anyone knowing a little trick just has to type in the name of this special page into the site you're looking at and it displays the name and address of the site owner!!!!! I've forgotten the name now, but it was the same for everyone - something like author.htm

I researched that UK doesn't do this, but if your ISP is offshore it might be worth checking.

I myself like to keep people guessing as to whether my lock-ups are in Germany or France, LOL!

Internic? Sounds like the thieves' equivalent of Interpol. Is that where all the stolen RS2000's are traded?

                  disclok is a good idea.

alarm on a mk2 is pointless as in an immobilser - aint nothing to the car and easy to get round these.

fuel tap is a decent idea - unless it towed away.

Post in floor, garage bolts etc

Years ago there was a story in the RSOC mag. The chap had parked his RS2000 on the drive, close up to the garage door. Then he drove his XR3i up the drive and blocked the RS2000 in. Everything was then locked up.

The thieves arrived in the night, removed the rear screen from the XR, rolled it out into the street, and made off with the RS2000!

I've always used a wheel clamp, even when it's locked in the garage

I get most concerned when en route to rallies, staying overnight in Travel Lodges or similar, as some cars have gone missing from these so I use 3 wheel clamps
1 for the van / tow car, 1 for the trailer, 1 for the rally car on the trailer
And reverse the whole lot up to a lamp post or solid wall so the car cannot be dragged off the back

When I used to live in Essex, the car was in a garage detached from the house, wheel clamp on the car, van reversed in front of the garage doors and wheel clamp on that.

I think myself lucky that I can keep all my cars at home, securely locked up

I've got my cars as secure as I can (alarmed, cctv, locks etc. etc.) but if they are determined then no doubt they will go. My advice is make sure you have agreed value insurance could save you a fortune if the worst happens.

Wheel clamp has got to be one of the best I would have thought..? Especially if you park it parallel to a wall something, fit the clamp, then turn the wheel on full lock towards the wall so its harder for the ****ers to tow away. (Although not sure if its possbile to turn the wheel when its fitted??)

Ive got an alarmed garage, floodlights and cctv coverage, but you never know these thieves would take the eye out of your head when you blink
