A member of staff at Jennings Ford knows a thing or two about motors – and he’s got a ‘Golden Award’ to prove it.


When Wayne Hall, 32, from Eaglescliffe, isn’t working as a warranty advisor processing claims on new cars at Jennings Ford’s Yarm Road dealership in Stockton, he devotes his spare time to the love of his life - she’s an immaculate 27-year-old, Ford RS 2000.

When Wayne Hall, 32, from Eaglescliffe, isn’t working as a warranty advisor processing claims on new cars at Jennings Ford’s Yarm Road dealership in Stockton, he devotes his spare time to the love of his life - she’s an immaculate 27-year-old, Ford RS 2000.


Wayne said; “From a very young age, I’ve always been interested in motors. It all started when I used to watch my uncle build rally cars.��?

Over the years Wayne has been the proud owner of many Fords, including a Ford RS Cosworth, an RS Turbo, an XR2 and an XR3.

That was up until six years ago, when Wayne spotted an advertisement for a Ford RS 2000 model and he just knew he had to have it.

It may have taken a substantial amount of cash and four hard-working years to build, but it’s all been worth it for Wayne, after his pride and joy scooped the ‘Golden Award’ at an RS Owners Club event that took place at Croft Race Circuit.

“I’ve been a member of the Club for twelve years, but this is the first time I’ve entered the competition and I’m absolutely delighted to have been awarded the ‘Golden Cup’ in the Novis category.��?

“It makes all those hours of building worth while!��?
Wayne’s achievement has automatically placed him in the Intermediate category for next year, but his ultimate goal is to go one step further and successfully achieve Expert level.
